Worcester's Jewish Community

There are many Jewish resources here in Central Massachusetts. Here are some key websites:

The community’s umbrella fundraising organization, supporting local Jewish educational and communal institutions, area Hillels, leadership development, Israel (including our sister communities in Afula/Gilboa) and more. If you’re new to the area, Shalom Newcomer of Central Mass will help you to get oriented. See Federation’s FAQ page for information about kosher food, mikvah, funeral services, cemeteries.

Worcester Jewish Community Center (JCC)

Health and fitness center, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, exercise classes, youth sports, plus a full-day early childhood program, arts and recreation activities for members of all ages.

Clark University Hillel

Serving students who self-identify as Jewish from Clark University and the Colleges of the Worcester Consortium. Hillel International is a pluralistic organization that does not identify with a particular denomination of Judaism. All students welcome, no matter their religious upbringing, current affiliation or amount of knowledge.

Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS)

Provides human services to help individuals and families successfully navigate transitions and overcome challenges. JF&CS supports new parents and their children; older adults and family caregivers; children and adults with disabilities; and people experiencing poverty, hunger, or domestic abuse.

Jewish Healthcare Center

Providing long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, hospice services, home care services, Alzheimer’s care and Life Care management to the community since 1916. The Gery & Emil Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence is located next door.
