11:00 am               Havdalah: Ceremony for a New Century

                              Just as havdalah marks the transition between Shabbat and the secular week, this ceremony marks the transition from our first one hundred years to our new century with words, song, music, and prayer.

12:00 noon            Festive Luncheon:  Catering by Silvia*

                              Savor Israeli cuisine, followed by musical selections by Shir Joy Choir and a special presentation by our own BI poet, Jay Aframe

1:30–4:00 pm        Community Celebration and Open House

                              Enjoy music and Israeli dancing by DJ Kfir Mizrahi plus games and activities, building tours, memorabilia display, and closing the time capsule

Meals and events are sponsored by the entire BI community through donations from the Centennial Club, Chai Kiddush Club, Brotherhood, and Sisterhood, and through the generous contributions to the Commemorative Book and the 100th Anniversary Fund.

* Registration for meals is required by May 20th.  For the Friday night dinner, please specify your entrée choice of meat (brisket and chicken) or vegan (quinoa stuffed eggplant).

 There is a small charge for the Friday dinner; other meals and events are free of charge, although donations will be accepted at the Sunday luncheon.
