Adam Kahn
Principal of the Zvi Plich Religious School
Seventh Grade Teacher: Torah and Mishna
Adam Kahn is the Principal of the Zvi Plich Religious
School. He was a Manhattan residential real estate professional and
a licensed canoe guide in Ontario and Minnesota before he and his
family came to Worcester. Adam spent a semester at Yeshivat Hamivtar
in Israel after his graduation from Carleton College, where he received
a B.A. in History. Adam is a licensed teacher with the Massachusetts
Department of Education and is a graduate of the New Director’s Institute,
a professional development experience of the United Synagogue for
Conservative Judaism. Additionally, Adam teaches Torah and Mishna
in the seventh and eighth grades at the New Jewish Academy in Worcester.
Ingrid
Goldfein, Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten Teacher
Seventh Grade Teacher:
Facing History and Ourselves
Ingrid Goldfein is the recipient
of a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Science in Education
from the Bank Street College of Education in New York. Originally from Brookline,
M.A., Ingrid has taught in various educational settings, including schools, camps
and youth groups, for over fifteen years. She currently teaches pre-kindergarten
and kindergarten, and Facing History and Ourselves in the seventh grade at the
Zvi Plich Religious School, and is Director of Admission at New Jewish Academy
in Worcester.
Audrey Kennen, First and Second Grade Teacher
Audrey has been teaching at ZPRS for six years, from kindergarten level through second grade. This year she
is teaching grades one and two, where students begin decoding Hebrew words. They
also learn about holidays, bible stories, prayers, Shabbat, music, and much more.
Teaching young children about Jewish holidays, mitzvot, and other areas of our
heritage, is a wonderful experience for Audrey.
Audrey works in the Oxford Public School System as a Teacher Aide in a third
grade classroom. She has been a Teacher Aide and a substitute teacher for grades
pre-k through grade eight for the past four years.
Audrey has an A.S. from Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley, a B.S. in Journalism
from Suffolk University in Boston, and a M.S. in Communications from Emerson
College in Boston, where she majored in Children and Television. Audrey is in
the process of obtaining a teaching certificate from the Massachusetts Department
of Education.
An Independent Avon Sales Representative and a Beth Israel Sisterhood member, Audrey resides in Oxford with her husband Steven, and her two children Joshua and Jared, the latter a current ZPRS seventh grader.

Ziva Rosenhand, Third and Fourth Grade Teacher
Ziva was born in Israel and
moved to the United States about nineteen years ago. She is married and has three
wonderful children, aged twenty-two, twenty, and sixteen. Ziva is an occupational
therapist in the Worcester school system and has been teaching at ZPRS for nineteen
years and still loves it.
Dan Shibley, Fifth and Sixth Grade Teacher
Daniel Shibley is a full time student at Clark University.
He is currently in his junior year and is pursuing an undergraduate degree
in Sociology with a concentration in Jewish Studies. Originally, Dan
is from just outside Washington, DC, in Takoma Park, MD. At home he is
an active member of his shul, Ohr Kodesh Congregation. Additionally,
Dan is currently serving as the Executive Vice President of the Clark
University Hillel where his primary duties include coordinating weekly
Shabbat dinners and services, and arranging learner’s workshops. He
has been involved in summer education through a local theatre for eight
years, teaching dramatic skills to students from age five to eleven.
This past summer, I had the privilege of tutoring two adopted boys from Russia, as they prepared to become bar-mitzvah.
