Directions to Congregation Beth Israel

Traveling West from Boston

1. Take the Mass Turnpike West to Exit 11A (Rt. 495 North)
2. Take Rt. 495 north to Rt. 290 West
3. Take 290 West to Exit 18 (Rt. 9, Lincoln Street) in Worcester
4. At the end of ramp, take a right (Lincoln Street), then another right at the set of lights (Concord Street)
5. Go straight through the next set of lights, you are now on Salisbury Street. The Worcester Art Museum will be on your left, further up the road W.P.I. College will be on your left. At the corner of Park Ave and Salisbury St. (a main intersection) Institute Park will be on your right. Go straight through the lights and at the top of the hill bear left at the fork in the road. Jamesbury Drive is about 1¼ miles on your left (or the eighth street). You will go down a small hill and Jamesbury Drive will be at the bottom on your left. There is a sign on the street post that says Congregation Beth Israel and Solomon Schechter Day School. We are at the end of the street.


Traveling East from Springfield or Northeast from Hartford


6. Take Mass Turnpike East to Exit 10 (Auburn - Rt. 290 East)
7. Take rt. 290 East to Exit 17 (Rt. 9, Belmont Street) in Worcester
8. Take a left at the end of the ramp (Belmont Street). As you follow the street, you will go down a slight hill and see a MAJOR intersection (Lincoln Square) ahead of you. Before you reach the set of lights, you will see an off ramp that says, Rt. 70 on your right. Go down the ramp, go right with the traffic and at the next set of lights take a left (Concord Street).
9. Follow the instruction #5 to Beth Israel.


Traveling North on Rt. 146 from Providence


10. Follow Rt. 146 to Rt. 290 East.
11. Take Rt. 290 East to Exit 17 (Rt. 9, Belmont Street) in Worcester
12. Take a left at the end of the ramp (Belmont Street). As you follow the street, you will go down a slight hill and see a MAJOR intersection (Lincoln Square) ahead of you. Before you reach the set of lights, you will see an off ramp that says, Rt. 70 on your right. Go down the ramp, go right with the traffic and at the next set of lights take a left (Concord Street).
13. Follow the instruction #5 to Beth Israel.
