life.
EVENTS
The Brotherhood's first breakfast of the year was held on October 18th. Our speaker was Dr. Joel Kaufman who spoke about the current controversy concerning health care in the United States. This was a very timely program for all of us and we certainly thank Dr. Kaufman for trying to explain what our future health care holds for us.
Our next breakfast was held on November 1st. The program that day was to meet and listen to the Worcester Mayoral candidates. All four candidates did attend our very well attended breakfast. This proved to be a very informative program and an opportunity to ask questions of our future mayor. We were ready with provocative questions - there were no easy, boring questions. We certainly have enough serious issues in Worcester. Hopefully we learned their real positions on the many issues that are facing us.
On November 15th, our breakfast speaker will be Dr. Melinda Boone. She is the new Superintendent of Schools in Worcester and will be speaking about the "Educational Challenges" in Worcester. This program promises to be an extremely interesting and informative talk about the Worcester Public School System. Let's find out how our schools are really doing!
In December, we are planning to have breakfasts on December 6th and December 20th and breakfasts are planned for January 10th and January 24th also.
The Brotherhood is a very warm and welcoming group that enjoys getting together for a great time - we always have good food and a great speaker. Please join us!
